Aftercare

After tattoo removal or pigmentation treatment, the area may look red or feel warm, similar to sunburn, for a day or two, sometimes with light frosting or scabbing over a tattoo. Keep the area clean, do not pick, avoid swimming, saunas and intense exercise for 48 hours, and protect treated skin with SPF. After a carbon peel there is usually no visible downtime at all. Written aftercare for your specific treatment is always provided.

Who this treatment may not suit

Laser treatment is not carried out during pregnancy, over an active skin infection, or on recently tanned skin. Certain medical conditions, photosensitising medications and a history of keloid scarring can also affect suitability. A consultation and patch test come first, so you always know the plan before committing to a course.
